Simply Beautiful Smiles was proud to welcome Dr. John Patrick Walsh to our family of practices in 2016. Born and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Dr. Walsh received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2007. Upon graduating, he received the “Clinical Excellence Award” which is earned by demonstrating highly ethical treatment of patients and superior clinical ability. He then entered active duty in the United States Navy.
Dr. Walsh was stationed with the U. S. Marines in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for three years, during which time he deployed to Al Anbar province, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While stationed at Camp Lejeune he was awarded the Navy and Marine Association Leadership Award due to his unparallel delivery of patient centered, team oriented care. Next, he was stationed in Newport, Rhode Island for two years. During this time, he received the “Fellowship Award” from the Academy of General Dentistry. He was also selected as the Naval Station Newport “Junior Officer of the Year”.
Dr. Walsh completed a twelve month Advanced Clinical Practice Training Program in exodontia at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in Great Lakes, Illinois and finished his Navy Career in Okinawa, Japan with the U. S. Marines, where he was the oral surgery department head and clinic director for three years. In 2015 Dr. Walsh received the “Mastership Award” from the Academy of General Dentistry; an award earned by less than 1% of all general dentists.
